The multidisciplinary medical team is led by Dr. Mathew Ninan who conducts a clinic along with pulmonologists and medical and radiation oncologists. One of the clear advantages to this approach is that patients can be seen by their entire medical team of professionals on a single day versus having to schedule multiple appointments with various specialists and wait-ing weeks for appointments. Patient history, investigations, and treatment options are reviewed and the team shares opinions to arrive at a consensus. A clear treatment plan is then implemented in the shortest possible time.

Advancements in the treatment of thoracic cancers, particularly lung cancer, are occurring at an extremely rapid pace. MSTMC physicians stay abreast of all the latest investigative and treatment modalities and make these available to referred patients. In addition, patients who so desire may be able to participate in appropriate clinical trials.

Primary care physicians who refer their patients to our clinic can be assured that once treatment is completed, each patient is returned to them. During treatment, referring physicians are updated regularly through reports and telephone calls.
